Tomkins is proud to have served as head contractor for the construction of the newest Learning Precinct at St Rita’s College.
Located in Clayfield, the site is bordered by the main college, the neighboring St Agatha’s Primary School, and residential properties. In response to constraints due to the site’s close proximity to its neighbours, Tomkins implemented special procedures to support continued progress on the build and to ease any effects to the surrounding environments.
The project included demolition of existing buildings and landscaped areas to make way for the 5,000sqm GFA 5-storey development. The new centre, comprised of GLA’s and a feature auditorium adjoined by a large foyer, also includes drama studios and performance spaces, music tutorial areas, practice rooms and staff areas.
The project also involved refurbishment of the lower levels of the existing Kennedy and Chapel buildings to include a new commercial kitchen, a tuckshop, new amenities, and storage areas.
