We opted to follow this approach to work collaboratively with the client to provide solutions to the numerous omissions in the tender documents due to the nature and history of the old heritage listed building. Our scope of work included for an undercroft excavation under the building’s main floor to construct new concrete ground slab for new mechanical plant to sit upon, the fire rating of the underside of the same floor, new Code Complaint fire exits & signage, new roof structure tie down connections and strengthening for new ceiling lighting trusses and a complete new internal upgrade of Amenities and finishes.
With 20 weeks delivery, works began early February 2011 ending mid-September. The project team worked effectively across all activities to achieve the award-winning outcome.
