Breaking Ground on Seanna

Construction of the $78 million luxury beachside development Seanna Residences officially commenced today with the turning of the first sod at the Bokarina Beach project.

Appointed builder Tomkins, joined developer Clark Group to commemorate the significant milestone and announce the creation of up to 400 jobs for local construction contractors and suppliers.

Tomkins Director, Mike Tomkins, said that his team is looking forward to continuing its engagement with contractors and suppliers on the Sunshine Coast by creating sought after  infrastructure that will provide economic boosts to the region.
“We are delighted to officially commence construction of Seanna Residences on behalf of Clark Group,” Mr Tomkins said.

“Today is the result of several months of working closely with Clark Group to realise their vision for this fantastic development which will bring opportunities for local trades and suppliers across the Sunshine Coast region.

“This project will provide a welcome boost for the construction industry, creating employment and upskilling of local capabilities on the Sunshine Coast.”

With 60 per cent of the 63 luxury apartments already sold, Clark Group Director, Darryl Clark, said interest in the eight-level development is high, reinforcing the Group’s decision to build a residential precinct of this calibre in the region.

“It’s extremely pleasing to come together today to recognise the commencement of Seanna Residences,” Mr Clark said.

“An incredible amount of work has gone into bringing Seanna Residences to life and creating the beachside home and lifestyle many people are seeking.

“We’ve the right team in place with Tomkins to deliver an exceptional development that will set the benchmark for luxury living on the Sunshine Coast, and we look forward to seeing people enjoying all Seanna Residences offers when complete.”

Eudlo-based civil engineers, GD2 Civils secured the first of many trade packages on offer to local contractors for the multi-million dollar development.

“It’s great to see that a company such as Tomkins is choosing to offer local operators first opportunities to work on projects such as these, rather than bringing in trades from outside the region,” said Gary Schulz, GD2 Civils Director.

“It says a lot about how they operate and how construction projects like this one can boost the local economy.”

Seanna Residences scheduled completion is December 2021. The project is the sixth undertaken by Tomkins on the Sunshine Coast, with the company currently delivering Bradfield House at Caloundra and Rise Apartments at Maroochydore.
